Location & Sunlight:

• Full Sun: Olive trees thrive in full sun and need at least 6 hours of direct sunlight each day to grow well and produce fruit.
• Well-Drained Soil: They prefer slightly alkaline, well-drained soil. Sandy or loamy soil is ideal. If the soil is clay-heavy, amend it with compost to improve drainage.

2. Watering:

Watering Schedule: Allow the soil to dry out between waterings. Overwatering can lead to root rot. In the summer, for outdoor, watering every 2-3 days depending on the weather.

3. Pruning:

• Remove Dead or Damaged Wood: Cut away any dead, diseased, or damaged branches, as well as any inward-facing shoots to allow sunlight into the tree’s interior.

• Occasional Fertilization: Olive trees are not heavy feeders but can benefit from occasional fertilizing. Use a balanced, slow-release fertilizer in the spring to encourage healthy growth.
• Avoid Over-Fertilizing: Excessive fertilization can lead to lush growth at the expense of fruit production.

• Heat-Loving: Olive trees thrive in warm areas if indoor.
