Dwarf Olive Trees (Olea Europaea 'Little Ollie' or similar cultivars) are popular for their compact size and attractive foliage. Here’s how to care for them:

  1. Light: They require full sun, ideally 6-8 hours of direct sunlight daily. A south-facing location is often best.
  2. Watering: Allow the top inch or two of soil to dry out between waterings. Water thoroughly, ensuring good drainage to prevent root rot. Dwarf olive trees are drought-tolerant but perform better with consistent moisture.
  3. Humidity: They prefer low to moderate humidity and can adapt to average home humidity levels.
  4. Soil: Use a well-draining potting mix. A mix designed for succulents or a blend of regular potting soil with sand or perlite works well.
  5. Fertilizing: Feed with a balanced, slow-release fertilizer during the growing season (spring and summer). Reduce or stop fertilizing in colder months.
  6. Pruning: Prune to maintain the desired shape and remove any dead or damaged branches. This can also help encourage bushier growth.
  7. Repotting: Repot every 2-3 years or when the plant becomes root-bound. Spring is the best time for repotting.

Dwarf olive trees are relatively low-maintenance and can add a touch of Mediterranean charm to your home or garden with the right care.
